2017 New Happenings at Camp Carl
Here's a few things to look for this summer.
Our horse program has always been a big hit, so we would like to add a specific emphasis week each week of the summer for 12 campers that will allow those horse loving campers to spend a large majority of their camp experience with horses.
HORSE TRAIL CAMPS
Giddy Up! We’re offering an excellent trail riding and instructional opportunity. You will ride well trained and responsive horses and you can learn how to interact with your horse for a meaningful riding and camping experience at West Branch State Park. You’ll cook dinner around the fire, sleep in hammocks and tents, and learn the basics in a variety of outdoor adventures. High Schoolers only.
We want to take full advantage of beautiful West Branch Lake and offer 6 campers each week the opportunity to learn to ski and wakeboard. From beginner to novice, this camp will be an amazing and intense camp experience.
Consider it “Outdoor Adventure 101.” At Base Camp, you’ll participate in many of camp’s most exciting activities while spending your nights at our Outpost camping area. You’ll cook dinner around the fire, sleep in hammocks and tents, and learn the basics in a variety of outdoor adventures. Half of the day will be spent like a normal camp week, while the other half you’ll learn about different skills for outdoor adventures.
This camp experience is for the future leaders that want to learn how to serve first. You’ll have the chance to grow personally and spiritually while being surrounded by like-minded young people who want their lives to count for eternity. For High School Students and only $100/wk. You’ll need to apply for this camp and be selected to come. To be eligible, you must have completed one year of high school.
